Best Destinations For New Year's Eve Celebrations

Paris
New York
With the New Year just around the corner, now's the time to make your New Year's resolutions, drink away the last year's regrets and celebrate starting all over again next year. As the Christmas lights start to fade and the holiday season comes to an end, there's still the age old question of where to celebrate one of the most epic nights out of the year, New Year's Eve.
Sidney
Rio de Janeiro
There is some really exciting must-do New Year's Eve events across the globe in nearly every continent. Ever wondered what it would be like to do a New Year's Eve trip somewhere other than singing 'Auld Lang Syne' with a bunch of strangers in your local pub or bar?
Few places rival the atmosphere of New Year's Eve in New York City, home to one of the night's most memorable New Year's Eve events, the Times Square Ball Drop. Since 1907, the iconic ball, a 12-foot glittering sphere weighing 11,875 pounds, is dropped each year on the stroke of midnight from a flagpole on top of One Times Square. Cramming into the New York City Times Square to watch the ball drop with fellow tourists from all over the world is something everyone should do once. They say that you have not really celebrated until you've frozen your extremities and lost your voice screaming while that ball drops above you.
The Scottish capital Edinburgh hosts one of the liveliest New Year's Eve events in the world, celebrating with a massive four-day festival known as "Hogmanay", which runs 30 December to 2 January each year. Hogmanay is the Scots word for the last day of the year and at the turn of the New Year, Scotland can be very cold but the both the vibe and the Scotch are warm and there is plenty to see and do in Edinburgh. The centuries-old tradition brings crowds of 250,000 party-goers to the city to take part in the famous festival. At midnight there is a huge fireworks display setting the Edinburgh skyline ablaze as the crowds shout out the words to classic Scottish song "Auld Lang Syne." This world-renowned NYE song was written by Scotland's national poet Robert Burns and was first sung in Scotland before spreading to the rest of the world.
One of the world's first major cities to celebrate NYE, Sydney's New Year's Eve firework show is renowned around the globe. The fireworks exploding above Sydney Harbour is probably the World's most famous New Year's Eve celebration aside from the New York City Times Square Ball Drop. What makes Sydney better to be at than New York City though, is that 31 December is summertime in Australia and you can pretty much expect a warm night out.
Other North American destinations that have great New Year's Eve experiences include Orlando, Key West, New Orleans, Hawaii, Niagara Falls and Whistler.
You know you don't want to miss it... So make sure you get your New Year's Eve travel plans sorted out, because the only question is, where will you be when the clock strikes midnight on 31 December this year?

Below is a list of some of the major destinations for your next New Year's Eve experience: NORTH AMERICA New York City Las Vegas Miami Orlando Key West New Orleans Hawaii Whistler Niagara Falls Mexico City
AUSTRALIA Sydney Melbourne
SOUTH AMERICA Rio De Janeiro, Brazil
EUROPE Edinburgh London Amsterdam Paris Berlin Vienna Reykjavik Barcelona Prague

Having The Right Documentation For Your Next Vehicle Rental‏

Once you have booked your car hire for your next holiday, you think that the work is done. Before you travel however, it is important to make sure that you have the following documents lined up and in hand ready to make the trip. Having all of these documents together and ready to go can help make your next car rental a breeze.
1.VERIFICATION NUMBER - while you're journeying, particularly in an international destination do not go away from home without the verification number. Names and additional content could be inserted wrongly into their system therefore make certain that you have your verification number with you. It can save you a bunch of time while picking up the rental.
2.LICENSE - be sure that you have your driving license on you and that it's current. Even if you're visiting an international destination and require an International Driving Permit, you're still required to contain your driving license with you too.
3.INSURANCE POLICY INFORMATION - Many agencies do not demand that you purchase insurance through them and they do not need you to furnish proof of insurance either, nevertheless it's crucial to correspond with your automobile insurance company to make certain that they'll supply coverage while you rent a vehicle. It's likewise crucial to carry your automobile insurance card on you during vacation. Though, not required if you experience an accident you'll be thankful to have this data accessible.
4. ALWAYS HAVE TWO CREDIT CARDS- When you pay for your car rental you should use one card, that will not be used for any other purpose on your vacation. Rental companies place a hold, for a specific amount of money, that will not be released until the car is thoroughly inspected upon its return. This may leave the credit card balance a little less than you had expected, therefore an additional card is needed to make sure that you do not have to forgo any of the vacation fun you had planned on.
